The Collinsville Kahoks put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Triad 67-29 at home. Considering Collinsville has won six games by more than 27 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Nick Horras was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points. The match was his 14th in a row with at least ten points. Jamorie Wysinger was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Collinsville's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0. As for Triad, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Collinsville and Lincoln will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 104th, while Collinsville is ranked eighth). Triad won't have much time to rest: their next game is against MacArthur at 12:00 p.m. on December 29th. MacArthur knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 games -- so hopefully Triad likes a good challenge.
