Volleyball Recap: Limestone Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Limestone put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Washington Panthers.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Limestone got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-20.

Limestone has now won 10 of their last 12 games at home. That gives them an 8-0 record this season. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-3 Dunlap and 3-4 Washington (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 28.9% over those games). As for Washington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Limestone will square off against their in-conference opponent Pekin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Washington is set to take on their familiar foe Morton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
