Baseball Recap: Whitehouse Beats Lufkin for Their Third Straight Win

Whitehouse made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Lufkin, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Whitehouse Wildcats blew past the Lufkin Panthers 11-2 on Friday. Considering the Wildcats have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for Whitehouse, bringing their record for this year to 8-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lufkin, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.

Coincidentally, Whitehouse and Lufkin will both be playing Nacogdoches the next time they take the field. Lufkin will head out to face Nacogdoches at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Whitehouse will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
