Softball Recap: Seton Has No Trouble Against Quantico

Seton's game two weeks ago was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They put the hurt on the Quantico Warriors with a sharp 22-7 victory. With that win, the Conquistadors brought their scoring average up to 8.7 runs per game.

Christina Witter and Katie Bauer did most of the damage at the plate: Witter fired off two home runs, eight RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-5, while Bauer went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave Bauer a new career-high. Maddie Heiny also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Seton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .565. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Seton's victory bumped their record up to 2-3-1. As for Quantico, they now also have a losing record of 2-3-1.

Coming up, Seton will take on Trinity Christian at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gryphons will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Conquistadors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Quantico, they will face off against Foxcroft at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
