Parker is 0-7 against Homewood since March of 2017 but things could change on Wednesday. The Parker Thundering Herd will welcome the Homewood Patriots at 5:30 p.m. Parker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

For Homewood's part, Mia Gonzalez made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Gonzalez a new career-low in earned runs (zero). She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season.
In other pitching news, Grace Pilgrim looked comfortable as she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.
Back at the plate, Allie Stuman was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted over her last nine games. Julia Dabney was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.
Homewood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parker only posted a batting average of .000.

Parker's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's match. Parker has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Homewood, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Parker continue to outrun the ball?
