The Bronaugh Wildcats suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 61-40 walloping at the hands of Sheldon. Bronaugh has not had much luck with Sheldon recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Strauss Banes, who scored 19 points. That was a full 47.5% of Bronaugh's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tucker Duncan, who scored eight points along with six assists and three steals.
Bronaugh dropped their record down to 10-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sheldon, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bronaugh will take on Kingsville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Sheldon, they will be playing at home against Chilhowee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
