With a playoff game on the line, the Albany Lions rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past the Pirates, posting a 52-14 victory on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Albany, who after 14 games remain undefeated this season.
Adam Hill was his usual excellent self, rushing for 223 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 31 receiving yards. Hill is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Chip Chambers also helped out by tossing the rock for 258 yards.
Albany pushed their record up to 14-0 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.67 points. As for Collinsville, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-2.
Albany will take on Sunray at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sunray is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Collinsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
