If the McDowell Titans were riding high off their 72-20 takedown of the R-S Central Hilltoppers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. McDowell took a hard 64-50 fall against Hibriten on Tuesday. McDowell was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hibriten apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.
McDowell's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kensly Stewart, who scored 9 points. Khloe Joyner was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
McDowell's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Hibriten, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDowell will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Henderson at 6:30 p.m. on December 1st. As for Hibriten, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Patton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
