Even though the Hollywood Hills Spartans scored an imposing 58 points on Thursday, the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes still came out on top. Pompano Beach managed a 63-58 win over Hollywood Hills. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Pompano Beach also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Jonathan Berwig continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with six assists and five rebounds. He hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Mason Rowan was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Pompano Beach's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Hollywood Hills, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Pompano Beach and Miami Beach will face off at 11:00 a.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Miami Beach is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Hollywood Hills, they will stay at home for another game and welcome South Broward at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
