In other batting news, Adan Ramirez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-6. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Devin Simth, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.
Benjamin Davis' defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Dekaney, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dekaney has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459.
