While Lexington didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Minutemen as they're now sitting on three straight.

Lexington's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Johnstown-Monroe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lexington will challenge Perkins at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Johnstown-Monroe, they will square off against Newark Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Green Wave's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Johnnies' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
