Macon have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They take on Brookfield at 7:00 PM. Macon have seen their point totals decreasing over the past four games, a vulnerability Brookfield are surely hoping to exploit.
Macon were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday, as they fell 18-22 to Clark County. Macon's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Nash Waller, who passed for 243 yards and 3 touchdowns. Waller has been a consistent playmaker for Macon as this was the 6th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing 6 points in their last matchup, Brookfield made sure to put some points up on the board against Highland. Everything went Brookfield's way against Highland as they made off with a 54-21 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for Brookfield as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.
Brookfield's victory lifted them to 1-5 while Macon's loss dropped them down to 4-2. We'll see if Brookfield's success rolls on or if Macon are able to steal their positive momentum.
