After losing to the Carencro Bears the last time they met, the Sam Houston Broncos decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Sam Houston came out on top against Carencro by a score of 63-54 on Friday.
Leading Sam Houston to victory were Blaine Davey and Carter Malveaux. Davey scored 18 points along with two steals, while Malveaux scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Malveaux has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Harmon, who scored ten points.
Sam Houston is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Carencro, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sam Houston's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Comeaux at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Carencro will take on Southside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
