Madilyn Byrd put up the most strikeouts she's had since back in May of 2024 on Thursday. She struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best she's had all season long. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
