The Wagoner Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Coweta Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Coweta took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Wagoner, who comes in off a win.
Wagoner came out on top against Miami on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fourth inning. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Wardogs with a sharp 11-1 win.

Wagoner got a great performance from Kolby Gardenhire as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). Gardenhire also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Bulldogs are 4-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 6-9 otherwise.
At the plate, Stavery James was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March. Eli Hopping was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Wagoner was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Coweta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Union.
Coweta also got a good showing from Landon Fisher, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Fisher has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Coweta saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sutter Winsworth, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.
The victory got Wagoner back to even at 10-10. As for Coweta, their loss dropped their record down to 16-14.
Everything went Wagoner's way against Coweta in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, as Wagoner made off with a 13-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
