Joslyn Christiansen made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.
Meanwhile, Juab can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Providence Hall, sneaking past 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wasps have posted since March 3rd.
Sienna Soper made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off 13 hits (and only one walk). Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Raylie Ballow was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. McKinzee Shepherd was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Juab was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Juab's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Delta, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Delta hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Juab struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Delta was able to grind out a solid victory over Juab in their previous matchup back in March, winning 13-8. Will the Rabbits repeat their success, or do the Wasps have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
