Ashbrook had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Statesville on Friday. The Greenwave blew past the Greyhounds 23-12. The victory was just business as usual for the Greenwave, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Ashbrook's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Statesville, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Ashbrook will face off against Crest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Greenwave their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Statesville, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake Norman at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
