Meanwhile, Moore tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. In other batting news, Maggie Walker let Carson Holbert and Nate Bertha run wild. Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Deep Run faced off against Hermitage on Friday. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 12-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.
Kaden Staffenberg looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Henry Jennings, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Jacob Saunders was another key player, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Maggie Walker's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Deep Run, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.
