Springport's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eli Dyer, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Wiginton, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds.
Springport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Leslie, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Springport will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Lansing Christian at 7:00 p.m. As for Leslie, they will head out on the road to face off against Dansville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
