The Victoria East Titans won against the Floresville Tigers last Monday with 64 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. Victoria East took down Floresville 64-49. The win was familiar territory for Victoria East who now have three in a row.
Kamryn Jackson was the offensive standout of the matchup as she scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kk Cleveland, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
Floresville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenzie Huron, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Amariah Ruiz, who scored 13 points along with 6 assists and 6 rebounds.
Floresville struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Victoria East pulled down 15.
Victoria East has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 6-3 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Floresville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.
Victoria East will stay at home for another game and welcome Flour Bluff at 6:15 p.m. on November 28th. Flour Bluff has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Floresville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Young Women's Leadership Academy at 6:30 p.m. on November 28th. Young Women's Leadership Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1211th, while Floresville is ranked 549th).
