The Baker Bulldogs are ranked highly in their home state, and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Lapwai Wildcats. Baker secured a 57-52 W over Lapwai. Baker's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Despite the loss, Lapwai still got an impressive performance from Kase Wynott, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. The match was Wynott's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Ahlius Yearout was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Baker's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Lapwai, their loss dropped their record down to 5-1.
Baker's road trip will continue as they head out to face Nampa at 8:29 p.m. on December 22nd. Lapwai will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Downey at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully Downey focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
