The Sterling Silver Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Haddonfield Bulldawgs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Sterling focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Sterling came up short against Haddon Township and fell 51-38. Sterling has not had much luck with Haddon Township recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Sterling had strong showings from Ireland Kay, who scored ten points along with six rebounds, and Erin Quinn, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Haddonfield waltzed into their contest on Saturday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 56-20 victory over Cherry Hill West. Haddonfield has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 23 points or more this season.
Sterling has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Haddonfield, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.
Things could have been worse for Sterling, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 36-18 loss to Haddonfield in their previous meeting back in January. Can Sterling avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
