Basketball Recap: Oklahoma City S Comes Up Short

Oklahoma City S lost against Putnam City West back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Oklahoma City S Storm took a 79-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Putnam City West Patriots. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (56), the Storm still had to take the loss.

When it comes to explaining why Oklahoma City S lost, don't look at Crayton Harland. Despite the final result, he went 6 of 15 en route to 18 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That's the most steals Harland has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Mason, who posted 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Oklahoma City S and nudges their season record down to 9-16. As for Putnam City West, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Oklahoma City S will face off against McLain Science & Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oklahoma City S knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully McLain Science & Tech likes a good challenge. As for Putnam City West, they will take on Will Rogers College at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Will Rogers College is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season.
