Galt fell to El Dorado 64-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Union Mine made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,281 from 10,388. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 45-0 victory over the Diamondbacks last week.
Matt Jimison threw for 283 yards and 5 touchdowns. He went 24-39 with 2 interceptions.
Calvin Sawyer was the most successful running back in Sierra Valley Conference this week. In 12 carries, he ran for 142 yards as Cosumnes Oaks bested River City. Sammy Gray also contributed to the rushing game with 23 yards on the ground.
6-foot-2 quarterback Jimison of Vista del Lago is the league leader in passing yards this season with 3,021. He has also thrown 35 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Van Dyke Jr.. The Cosumnes Oaks star has 47 catches for 962 yards.
The Wolfpack's Van Dyke Jr. is a few successful plays short of surpassing 1,000 yards receiving this season. He needs only 38 receiving yards against Whitney to hit that benchmark. He has recorded 47 catches for 962 yards this year.
