The Crete-Monee Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 54-26 loss at the hands of Rich Township. While losing is never fun, Crete-Monee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 365th, while Rich Township is ranked 152nd).
Rich Township was led to victory by Kai Williamson and Sherrie Emmons. Williamson scored 11 points along with four steals, while Emmons scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Greenwood, who scored six points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Crete-Monee's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-15. As for Rich Township, their win bumped their record up to 13-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crete-Monee will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Thornwood at 6:30 p.m. on January 11th. As for Rich Township, they will take on Thornton at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
