They were four  points away from ending the streak, but they lost a  63-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hiram Hornets. The Colonels were probably out for revenge after losing  50-40 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
 Hiram's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Taylor Crawford, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 24  points and nine  boards. Another player making a difference was  Damariah Windmon, who  posted 19 points.
Cass' defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Hiram, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
 Cass will take on Allatoona at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Hiram, they will welcome Dalton  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Dalton knows how to get  points on the board -- the  team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Hiram likes a good challenge.
