Baseball Recap: Tabernacle Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Shining Light Baptist Academy on Tuesday, Tabernacle Christian came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the Calvary Christian Cougar on Thursday, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougar this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-5 back in March.

Josue Sandoval made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Courtlyn Tanner was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Tabernacle Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Calvary Christian, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Tabernacle Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rockwell Christian School at 4:00 p.m. on May 1. As for Calvary Christian, they will face off against Fayetteville Street Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
