Krum is 1-6 against Aubrey since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Krum Bobcats will be playing at home against the Aubrey Chaparrals at 7:30 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Krum's and Sanger's contest on Friday was close at halftime, but Krum turned on the heat in the second half with 21 points. Krum was the clear victor by a 37-13 margin over Sanger.
Among those leading the charge was Ty Taber, who threw for 140 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Will Holland and his 95 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Krum's win.
Meanwhile, Aubrey had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 17-7 victory over Van Alstyne. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Aubrey was the (much) better team in the second half.
Among those leading the charge was Emerson Cagle, who rushed for 142 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Cagle's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.

Krum was dealt a bruising 47-19 loss at the hands of Aubrey when the teams last played back in October of 2022.
