Volleyball Recap: Canyon Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Canyon won the last time they faced Coronado, and Laney Jones did her part to make sure it happened again. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Mustangs on Friday thanks in part to Jones, who had 14 digs, 12 kills, five blocks, and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Canyon and bumps their season record up to 6-7. As for Coronado, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Aledo on the 23rd. As for Coronado, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Stephenville on the 23rd.
