Reshard Waddel ran for two touchdowns and
Xzaviar Campbell added three as well as
Bellaire (Texas) defeated Houston Math Science & Tech (Houston, Texas) 82-20 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Waddel touchdown run in the first quarter, the Cardinals led 82-13 at the half.
A big 42-point second quarter helped Bellaire secure the win. BHS scored on a
Trevon Smith touchdown pass to
Courtney Lark, a
Jeff Ejekam touchdown run, a touchdown run by Waddel, a
Tavion Palmer touchdown run, a touchdown pass by
Jalin Bolden-Scott to
Lorenzo Gould and a punt return touchdown by
Jusitn Grisby in the quarter.
Campbell was the top performer for the Cardinals. He has now scored seven touchdowns on the season.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 59-6 win for Bellaire.
The loss was the fourth in a row for the Tigers. The win brought Bellaire's winning streak to four games.
In a 5A Region III District 20 game next week Houston Math Science & Tech (0-4) takes on Chavez, and Bellaire (4-1) will go up against Madison also in a 5A Region III District 20 game.
