Clayton Valley Charter is a perfect 5-0 against Campolindo since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Ugly Eagles will face off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Campolindo took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Clayton Valley Charter, who comes in off a win.
On Friday, Clayton Valley Charter blew past Miramonte, posting a 56-14 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Ugly Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Matadors are ranked 298th).
Jhadis Luckey continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 255 yards and five scores while picking up 12.8 yards per carry, and also picking up 47 receiving yards and one TD. His longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards.
Clayton Valley Charter's run defense was locked in: Miramonte could only muster two yards per carry. The team can thank Kameron Brooke for the heroic effort on defense: he. Clayton Valley Charter didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 15.7.
Meanwhile, Campolindo ended up a good deal behind Acalanes on Friday and lost 45-28. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Dons: they've now lost three in a row.
Clayton Valley Charter will need to focus on slowing down Zach Tabibian, one of several Campolindo players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 93 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Clayton Valley Charter has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.8 points over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Campolindo fell to 6-1.
Friday's game will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Luckey and Micah Parker. Luckey just won't slow down this season and has run in 23 touchdowns while averaging 222.9 rushing yards per game. Parker has been a dominant force too and has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 81.8 rushing yards per game.
Clayton Valley Charter was able to grind out a solid win over Campolindo when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 20-12. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ugly Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
