Even though the Tampa Catholic Crusaders scored an imposing 73 points on Wednesday, the Oak Ridge Pioneers still came out on top. Oak Ridge took their contest against Tampa Catholic 85-73. This was payback for Oak Ridge, who suffered a 68-65 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Tampa Catholic still got an impressive performance from Colby Cannizzaro, who went 9 for 14 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 4 assists. Cannizzaro scored a full 45.2% of Tampa Catholic's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Cole, who scored 18 points.
The win got Oak Ridge back to even at 2-2. As for Tampa Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Oak Ridge will head out on the road to face off against Evans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Evans' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Tampa Catholic will be home for the holidays to greet Berkeley Prep at 7:30 p.m. on December 15th.
