The Eagle Valley Devils won the last time they faced the Battle Mountain Huskies, and things went their way  on Tuesday too. Eagle Valley strolled past Battle Mountain with  points to spare, taking the game  58-44. Given Eagle Valley's advantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings  (they are ranked 113th, while Battle Mountain is ranked 280th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Eagle Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Dylan Zoller led the charge by  scoring 14 points along with seven  rebounds and four  steals. Another player making a difference was  Parker Newbanks, who  scored nine points.
 Eagle Valley's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Battle Mountain,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-14.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle Valley will take on Grand Junction Central at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Battle Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenwood Springs at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
