The South Callaway Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eldon Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Callaway knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully Eldon likes a good challenge.
South Callaway pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montgomery County.
In what's become a running theme this season, Eldon gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. Everything went their way against North Callaway as Eldon made off with a 59-37 victory. Given Eldon's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 128th, while North Callaway is ranked 434th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South Callaway's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Eldon, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
South Callaway beat Eldon 68-56 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Will South Callaway repeat their success, or does Eldon have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
