After 11 games on the road, Stigler is heading back home. They will take on the Sallisaw Black Diamonds at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Stigler was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 40-34 to Talihina. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Stigler has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Sallisaw ended up a good deal behind Stilwell on Friday and lost 71-53. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sallisaw in their matchups with Stilwell: they've now lost six in a row.
Stigler bumped their record down to 7-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sallisaw, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.
Stigler won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup two weeks ago, slipping by Sallisaw 63-62. Will Stigler repeat their success, or does Sallisaw have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
