The Shaker Bison are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Hanover Bears at 12:30 p.m. on December 27th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Shaker scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Kingston 67-44. The result was nothing new for Shaker, who have now won three matches by 22 points or more so far this season.
Shaker found their leader in underclassman Peyton Hoblock, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Geter, who scored 17 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Hanover waltzed into their contest Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 59-41 victory over Bishop Brady. 59 seems to be a good number for Hanover as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Shaker is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Hanover, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
Shaker was able to grind out a solid win over Hanover in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 51-44. Does Shaker have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hanover turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
