The Walton Raiders lost against the North Cobb Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Walton took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Cobb.
Walton's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Graycen Ehlen, who scored eight points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Bagley, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Walton's loss dropped their record down to 11-13. As for North Cobb, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walton will take on Osborne at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Walton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for North Cobb, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kennesaw Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennesaw Mountain is coming into the game with nine straight defeats on the road, meaning North Cobb will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
