After flying high against the West Springfield Spartans last Saturday, the Kecoughtan Warriors came back down to earth. Kecoughtan took a 55-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bruins. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Kecoughtan of the 64-49 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Suber, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Derek Todd, who scored nine points.
Kecoughtan's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Bethel, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Kecoughtan will be playing in front of their home fans against the Phantoms at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Phoebus is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for Bethel, they will take on the Eagles at TBD on Thursday. Shabach Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Bruins in their respective states (the Eagles are ranked 34th in Maryland, while the Bruins are ranked 140th in Virginia).
