After flying high against the Millwood Bobcats last Tuesday, the Guardian Christian Academy Royal Knights came back down to earth. Guardian Christian Academy had to suffer through a rough 81-53 loss at the hands of Grace Christian School. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Guardian Christian Academy in their matchups with Grace Christian School: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the loss, Guardian Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Aaron Kuhn scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Tierre Brown, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Guardian Christian Academy dropped their record down to 7-12 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Grace Christian School, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-6.
Guardian Christian Academy will be playing at home against Amelia Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grace Christian School, they will head out on the road to square off against Eastern Mennonite at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Grace Christian School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Eastern Mennonite likes a good challenge.
