The Midway Raiders had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged West Bladen out 41-39. The victory was just what Midway needed coming off of a 52-9 loss in their prior match.
Midway's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Morgan Williams, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Kyleigh Stonerock was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with ten rebounds.
The victory got Midway back to even at 9-9. As for West Bladen, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-12.
Midway will take on Clinton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Midway and Clinton are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for West Bladen, they will head out on the road to take on St. Pauls at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Pauls presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Bladen in North Carolina (St. Pauls is ranked 136th, while West Bladen is ranked 433rd).
