The Rock Canyon Jaguars and the Ralston Valley Mustangs squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Rock Canyon Jaguars had to settle for second. Rock Canyon took a serious blow against Ralston Valley, falling 42-14. Rock Canyon's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Gavin Neira threw for 156 yards and a touchdown. Michael Thulin was his top target, picking up 78 receiving yards. On the ground, Tyler Meyer rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown.
Among those leading the charge was Logan Madden, who threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Jackson Hansen also helped out with an impressive 89 receiving yards.
Rock Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Ralston Valley, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Rock Canyon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ralston Valley will head out on the road to face off against Pine Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine Creek will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
