In what's become a running theme this season, the George Walton Academy Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They blew past Bethlehem Christian Academy 62-27 at home. Given George Walton Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Bethlehem Christian Academy is ranked 316th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Ashley Hill, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Leila Mathis, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
George Walton Academy's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
George Walton Academy will square off against Loganville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Loganville Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Friday. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, they will square off against Lakeview Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakeview Academy will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Bethlehem Christian Academy surely won't give up without a fight.
