The South River Rams pushed their score all the way to 58 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 76-58 bruising from Sayreville. South River lost against Sayreville in their previous head to head back in December of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 61-42 score last time.
Despite the loss, South River still got an impressive performance from Alex Grospe, who scored 29 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ethan Torres, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
South River's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sayreville, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
South River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sayreville also has no future games currently scheduled.
