It was fun while it lasted, but Joppatowne's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Thursday. The game between them and the C. Milton Wright Mustangs didn't end well, with the Joppatowne Mariners falling 62-47. The Mariners were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in January of 2023.

Joppatowne lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Anthony Council, who posted 11 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Kishann Smith was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Having lost for the first time this season, Joppatowne fell to 3-1. As for C. Milton Wright, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Joppatowne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-47 win against Patapsco on the 13th. As for C. Milton Wright, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-39 defeat against Arundel on the 16th.
