The Norton Science & Language Academy Rockets will head out to take on the California Lutheran C-Hawks at 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Norton Science & Language Academy put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. They blew past The Grove School 16-6. The win was some much needed relief for the Rockets as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.
Isaiah Saldana and Nicolas Terrazas made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Saldana struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Terrazas pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Norton Science & Language Academy is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 0-12 otherwise. At bat, Saldana got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Terrazas got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
