Elm Creek's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quin Oberg, who scored 21 points along with two steals. Oberg has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. Nikk Brumels was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Leading Amherst to victory were Austin Adelung and Tayje Hadwiger. Adelung scored 23 points along with three steals, while Hadwiger dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hadwiger has scored at least a third of Amherst's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Russell, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Elm Creek's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7. As for Amherst, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Elm Creek is coming into the game with five straight defeats at home, meaning Hi-Line [Eustis-Farnam/Elwood] will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Amherst will take on Broken Bow at TBD on Friday. The timing is sure in Amherst's favor as the team sits on 16 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Broken Bow has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
