Baseball Recap: Harmon Has No Trouble Against Wyandotte

Harmon won against Highland Park on Tuesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Hawks put the hurt on the Wyandotte Bulldogs with a sharp 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won ten matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Harmon let Izak Tovar and Chad Taylor run wild. Tovar went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Taylor got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Tovar a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anthony Avalos, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Harmon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win made it two in a row for Harmon and bumps their season record up to 12-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Wyandotte, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 18 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season.

As of now, neither Harmon nor Wyandotte have any future games scheduled.
