Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Davenport was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 318 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tivy only rushed for 181.
Davenport's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as Hunter Avila, Jaylin Morrow, and Trenton Evans-Williams picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Tivy's side was Peyton Yankie, who picked up two sacks, made eight total tackles, and defended a pass.
Pieper's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Davenport, their record is now 2-0.
