The Great Bridge Wildcats''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Nansemond River, falling 38-6. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Great Bridge in their matchups with Nansemond River: they've now lost seven in a row.
William Englert threw for 167 yards on 14 of 38 attempts. Demiko Pitts was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards. On the ground, Craigory Mcneil rushed for 46 yards and a touchdown.
Great Bridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Nansemond River, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
