It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Isabella had no problem doing just that on Monday. Everything went their way against the Highland Home Flying Squadron as they made off with a 23-4 win. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Aubreigh Davenport was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February. Eliza Lovett was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
The victory (which was Isabella's third in a row) raised their record to 9-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Highland Home, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-11.
As of now, neither Isabella nor the Flying Squadron have any future games scheduled.
